I am almost ready for the big event.

Thursday, April 27th, 2006

I am getting ready for 2 very important events next week.

I will be speaking at a real estate convention to a group of 600 investors on May 6th. This is rare for me. Most of my business is done by telephone teaching and tele-conference sales calls.

I can reach as many people through the phone and internet as I can by traveling to speaking events. So it really has to be worth my while to travel.

This live event looks like a great opportunity to take my message about business credit lines to the next level.

Check out the website all about the event @ http://www.nwbuexpo.com/speakers.html

And the other big deal going on in my office is the final edits of the soon to be released Workbook for the Ultimate real estate investor’s guide.

I can’t tell you much about this top secret project, but you will see a survey next week that will be all about the pre-launch of this amazing product.

Welcome to my new on-line diary. You now have the chance to see inside the real estate and business operations that go on at my company every day.

Last week was a busy week with the closing on a new construction home in New Mexico. I do all my closings by mail, and they are usually very simple. But this one with D.R. Horton was not very pleasant.

They allowed me to sign a contract as an investor - which is rare for builders to allow. And when they were ready to close on the property my lender ran into the normal delays that happen in most transactions. In fact some of the problems were created by the builder themselves.

The builder threatened me to close by the end of their financial quarter, or lose my $10,000 down payment. It was a very unpleasant transaction, but my broker pulled a lot of strings and got it done on time.

But i am always very aware of the bullying that builders can do to investors.
